Natural Methods For Stopping Excessive Sweating
How to prevent excessive sweat.
Are you are suffering from excessive sweating? You are not the only one. The good news is there are many effective ways to prevent excessive sweating, some of them are rather radical and some of them quite expensive.
What you should do is, try the natural methods that are available and see if any of them work for you.
To treat excessive sweating of the underarms, palms and soles of the feet, the most popular natural method is the use of topical treatments.
All topical applications do not last very long and have to be constantly re applied if you want to stop any excessive sweating. These treatments work by sealing off the sweat ducts beneath the skin, preventing the sweat from coming to the surface.
Local anesthetics are used as topical treatments. They are not so commonly used, but they do work by deadening the nerve conduits slowing down the sweating in areas where it is applied. Glutaraldehyde is another topical treatment which is applied on the affected areas of the body thrice a week for the first two weeks and once a week there after.
Another form of topical treatment is antiperspirants which are effective only in cases of mild excessive sweating.
All antiperspirants contain aluminum chloride which blocks the sweat ducts beneath the skin’s surface, stopping the sweat from surfacing.
While some people suffer from side effects of itching and mild rashes on the areas where it is applied, aluminum chloride is generally safe to use. Since the effect of antiperspirants do not last for very long, it has to be reapplied often and can turn out to be rather expensive.
There is another completely natural method explained in a book "Stop Sweating and Start Living" written by Mike Ramsey, who discovered this procedure to cure himself of severe excessive sweating.
